Sigurd Ytre-Anne (one half of Wauwatosa) says:

"Like most Wauwatosa songs, this song is a puzzle of samples and recordings from improvised sessions. I remember sitting on the plane to visit my sister in Malawi, listening to a recording of an improvised session with Vegard Holum (trumpet), David Aleksander Sjølie (guitar) and myself (drums and samples). "This could be a song", I thought, and started chopping up the parts and making a song out of it. The strange but somehow groovy beat combined with the simple pop chords made me think of the band Broen, and I sent it to their lead singer Marianna."

Marianna Sangita (guest vocalist & member of Norwegian band Broen) says:

"Writing what this song is about could easily become an essay, I could talk about Donald Trump and Sylvi Listhaug and the hate and resentment bubbling everywhere. But I´d rather not give either of those any more thought or words. I'll say this: Being different is not easy. It is a curse and a blessing, both to the person who is different but also to the people around that individual. I grew up between two countries, Greece and Norway, which means that no matter which country I´m in, I´m always a little different. And there are lots of people like me. During these tumultuous times where being different is something which is discussed and pointed at a lot I cannot stop thinking about it. So when Sigurd sent me the music, I wrote this."
