Nicholasw ...Wauwatosa gives me the vibes of the indie music of 2005. There's a Radiohead-level of experimentation going on here, as this Norwegian electronic duo bring in a busload of friends to collaborate with organic instruments and vocals. The result is delightfully unpredictable, yet highly listenable, Souvenirs also has an excellent emotional flow, working its way to an ending on some type of sunset mountaintop of feelings. Favorite track: Dare (feat. Emilie Storaas).

"When you travel, a souvenir is something you bring back to remember the trip. Each of these songs represents a journey we've taken with our collaborators, each one a result of a collaborative composition process. All the lyricists and vocalists we work with shape the sketches in their own way. It often starts with recording improvisations that we play with and further develop, so that what you hear in the final track is actually the sound of us composing the song."
